NEWS: March 2007 - Health Center Report November 2006 - Distribution of medicated mosquito nets to all villages in the Denan region. October 2006 - Completion of agricultural training program for 36 villagers from 5 villages in new agricultural techniques and in the use of new drought resistant crops. Seeds and farming implements were distributed upon completion of training.
September 2006 - Opening of hospital laboratory and hiring of a lab technician.
August 2006 - Purchase of a pickup truck to be used for medical outreach program and the hiring of an additional doctor.
July 2006 - Purchase of Ultrasound equipment. June 2006 - Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury wins Connecticut statewide award for their school project, "A Night for Denan." read letter
May 2006 - Reconstruction of the hospital was completed. April 2006 - Water survey for pipeline construction was completed. March 2006 - Reconstruction of the hospital was begun. January 2006 - A unit of the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa of the US Military did a site survey and began making improvements to our hospital. December 2005 - Delivery of a new, Toyota ambulance. November 2005 - Donation by the Somali Regional Health Bureau of enough equipment to turn our clinic into a hospital. October 2005 - Delivery of a 28.8 KW generator to provide electricity to the clinic. September 2005 - Delivery of 72,000 supplemental meals to combat anemia and under and mal-nourishment.
